    Default Yahoo is dieing

Alright so i been reading up on yahoo and its recent low amount of traffic and was wondering what you guys think yahoo could do to get through this rough patch. This of course excluding "Becoming more like Google" as they have already stated that they will not follow or try to copy goggles tactics.

I would like to see Yahoo come out with an alexa/compete type tool mixed in with the features of the old keyword overture tool.

I prefer Yahoo to Google actually for searches. I sure wouldn't say it was dying. Of course the new CEO's just been announced and is already being closely followed to see what she'll do to shake things up. Carol Bartz' appointment is not without its detractors but if they wanted a Jerry Yang clone, they shouldn't expect anything to change. I don't think it's fair to say they'll get more of the same just because she knows Yang. You can't argue with her track record.

Bartz ran Autodesk as CEO from 1992 to 2006. Autodesk is around half the size of Yahoo, with about 7,000 employees worldwide. During her tenure, the company diversified its product line and grew revenues from $285 million to $1.523 billion, in her final year.

I dont think Yahoo is dying, but it definitely needs an injection of something. It appears to lack the ability to reinvent itself that Google does. Years ago Yahoo was top of the pile of SEs, but it didn't move with the times. Compare Google to Yahoo, Google announces every new little (and big) addition with huge publicity, Yahoo adds new features and would rather keep it a secret. No its not dying, just stuck in a rut.

I also dont agree that yahoo is dying. Yahoo is still no 1 in emailing and messenger service but its falling little behind in search engine war to Google. If you check alexa ranking then yahoo is still no 1 or 2 so how can you say its dying?
