Blogs and Web sites aren't mutually exclusive. Blogs can be Web sites and Web sites can be Blogs.

So, when you are asking about Blogs, are you asking about the CMS (platform the site is built on) or are you talking about the content?

If you are talking about the CMS, it doesn't matter. Since the Web is "2.0" now, people are using all sorts of content management systems alsong with html to make Web sites and Blogs.

As far as content goes, don't use your Blog or Web site as an online journal unless you are famous or the most interesting person on earth. Most people won't read it.

I have a website and two blogs and I would say both. They serve different purposes. But I like the idea of blog which keep your content fresh and regularly updated. So even for my website I always keep the content added on a regular basis.

If you can update regularly you can go for blog, if you update once in two months or a month go for website.

If you are planning to have your own maoey-making domain, then website is better but for getting only extra income without less or without any expense, then blog is the good one.

blog is easy to update if you have want to update site daily, i am currently using blogs because i can use it from anywhere no need to ftp in my office

I would say website because website has once became popular and still some people follows them for making online money because once you sign in with the network and paste some code snippets on your website. The network will then serve contextual ads (either text or images) relevant to your website, and you will earn a certain amount of money for every click.

As per blog, I would say most of the people find it hard to click on the blogs as people has to say, most of the blogs are scam.So it is hard for beginners to follow blog to make money online.
