Webhosting Help!
Hello,
I wanna set up a HOST like APACHE OR XAMPP on my own computer.I want to know is there anyway I can get free CPANEL and I also want to know if its possible to give some space for my friends AND they cannot access mainfraim like my main account?

Its not possible with a windows system so you will have to use linux also the setup of Cpanel is advance and most normal computer users will struggle with it by Cpanel does allow what you want to do...its just alot of work to set it up with the box and all..also to mange your internet connection right with you computer so it dosnt overload...

If you want to setup your own host from home & you need a free control panel search for ''zPanel'' on yahoo, its free & is a good control panel if you intend to give free hosting. If you need more advice please do PM me :-).

Hey thanks! I have been looking for a while for a free Cpanel! Does it let you create email addresses? If so...Awesome! if not that kind of stinks..... cause yea.... whatever Thanks though

Yeah, fantastico is pretty cool! I've tried it out, and works out great...There's a ton of features on there. I would definetely reccommend getting it

If you want to set up a host, I also siggest getting MYSQL, and php, and all those other scripts, like shopping carts and so on.

I think cpanel has one for free but only if you use it for "educational" purposes. But ya I dont think you should use it on a home computer try getting something else like zpanel.
