Is free hosting is better?

Hi,
i dont know about hosting much, i am using free hosting from last 1 year, i never get any problem complaint from it, even i am enjoying its service,

i just want to know, is there any loss in free hosting, any disadvantage ??

share ur opinions?

See for beginners, free hosting is good but paid hosting always has an edge over free hosting since there are add-ons & extended benefits in paid hosting plans.

you know why i am little confuse, what benefit they get by providing free hosting, in free hosting packages, many softwares, one click install php software and much more included,

before that i wast paying RS 16000 per year, which is near 190$, may in my country its very high, when i move to free hosting, i really feel relax and satisfications

disadvantage of it is, sometimes freehosting provider shuts down without notification and your site will be gone

i'm also using freehosting blog but its from google .. blogger.com its the safest i knew.

I would say, free web hosting is not good. It usually makes the server down. Free web hosting is good in case if the web design company provides you free web hosting for certain times after you have created your website from them.

It's alright for someone who has just started, but in the long run paid hosting will always have an advantage on free hosting. The main disadvantage would have to be downtime.

ahan, its mean that only downtime is the only main reason? well, i am lucky that i faced it only one time 8 mounts only for 2/3 hours

one thing still putting little pain in my head ... what advantage they get ? they are not charging.. whats their profit in it

if they change their policies in future.., to buy premium hosting & suspend account,,, they can do this or not ?

i ask this only, because i start earning from my website now, i dont want to take any risk

ahan, online marketing i get this point, i just come to conclusion, free hosting is good for individual new biee who are in learning stages, not good for a business or organization as there is risk to loss data!

any other solid point ? if there is only above mention point then i will continue with free hosing
