Default How to setup a secondary mail host site?

I would like to setup my email hosting to have a backup path to other hosting site. For example, a mail server hosted in location A, then the email will automatically route to location B. I heard it is something related to MX records setting, but how to set it up? anyone can help here?

As you said you need to edit your MX records, where is the dns for your domain and are you on a cpanel web server?

it can be done at the registar or in your control panel on your web server

Ask your email provider for the IP address you should point your domain name to. It sounds like you are probably on a shared hosting account for your website, if that is the case all that would probably be needed is a support ticket asking them to point your MX records to your email provider's IP
