How many databases?

While purchasing hosting, how many databases do you purchase. Is there any advantage of getting unlimited databases with hosting?

Well actually no hosting allows/gift you unlimited databases. If you go for windows hosting then you will need to pay for each and every sql server database you need.

For Linux hosting some provide 5 my SQL database as free or may provide you most 25 as fre my sql database. There is no such thing unlimited.

I depends on how many you think you will end up needing. If are planning on hosting many domains on one account then make sure you have at least 1 DB for each domain, assuming that they will all be dynamic sites.

It really depends on how many sites you are going to launch in hosting. I generally by hosting for one site so just one database is enough for me.

I depends of how much you think that you will finish to the top the need. If envisage on then accomodating many fields on an account take care you to have at least 1 dB for each field, supposing that they will be all the dynamic sites.

And yes, no. of databases do count if you are the type of webmaster that installs quite a large no. of scripts

number of databases depends on your need.. if you are launching more than one site, then u might probably require multiple databases..

I think 1 database is enough for launching one site but if you are looking for more than one site you should have more than one site.

I dont just stick with one. By partiting into a number of separate applications it is perfecty feasible to have more than one database. Also having separate applications can speed up the response time of the application and hence the site. Simply put the number depends on the site and the applications running.
