Anyone know what happened with Hostgator?

I know that every site that I know is hosted with HostGator was down for at least an hour earlier today. I was kind of panicking for a few minutes as apparently my three favorite sites are all hosted there seeing as I couldn't get to any of them. I'm assuming there was some sort of server crash or major hardware failure?

Downtime sucks and should not happen with any host. I know it does but my company has not had any down time at all. We have a 100% record for all servers at this time.

Its most likely an issue the data center your internet is going through...

If this isn't the case HostGator may have been upgrading their servers.

yes might be they are upgrading the server so u are getting the downtime.
plz wait and then try to contact them via mail or phone.

Hostgator has thousands of servers and there is no point in asking the question here. You should have asked the customer support.
