Reciprocal link submissions- is it useful ?

While submitting your site to the directories, would reciprocal link submissions proves out good enough to sites ?

Depends upon what you are looking for. Watch with directories, sometimes their definition of reciprocal links are not quite what they seem. Firstly there's the srtraight forward reciprocal link with the directory, then there's the link, not with the directory, but the owners primary site, this is then the manner in which some sites gain some one way links.

A number of directories will offer paid or free only for reciprocal linking sites.

yeah it is beneficial if directory has some good page ranking other wise i think useless

I had a PR2 blog, I submitted my blog to 100 reciprocal link directories and when the next update came my blog PR decreased to 0.
