    Default Paid Submission to directories

    Hello

I am planning to get some paid links in the high PR directories. What do you think, it is really useful for getting traffic and SEO purpose?

Please give me your valuable suggestions.

    • Are you doing it just for PR? Yes then dont waste your money. There are better, cheaper ways of gaining PR than buying links, and Google tries to discount the paid for links from their PR calculations
    • Are you doing it for traffic? Then does the amount of traffic the directory warrant bying a link?
    • What is the PR of the inner page your link will be on? bet its not the high PR that the directory claims, this often is the first page only.

I urge you to think carefully about bying paid for links in directories.

I dont think paid submission into directories can bring enough traffic to your website except Dmoz and Yahoo directory but for gaining PR directory submission can bring result and also help in SEO.

Directories in general are frowned upon by google, at least that's what I read. So I wouldn't really feel comfortble paying for directory links. They'll probably get you a few thousand links fast, but that will probably look like spam to search engines and you might end up in the sandbox for a while.

Yeah agreed, I think back-links should be links from people & websites that you know and trust. These huge link exchange programs are useless in my opinion.

Paying for web directories is a waste of time if your only aims is to get PR. I am sure there are lots of free directories and allow submission in exchange for reciprocal link. Just take a look around and i am sure you will find some good one. Why no you try blog comments ?

Directories submissions have become core to SEO but it doesn't matter much if you have Premium link or general submissions like, all it matters is you have a link or not !
