well yeah google will buy twitter as we see in past that google always buy those websites which introduce new ideas like youtube
I think Twitter will eventually be neglected. Google bought Youtube as it is something solid, unique and always features new content. Twitter is just an extraction of what Myspace and Facebook provide.

I have to admit I havn't used the ins and outs of it but from the surface it seems to be the wall from Myspace and Facebook along with the ability to submit pictures (again taken from the others).

Time will tell, if google will make the step on buying twitter, oh by the way have you followed google's twitter account? they also created one, actually they had 300+ of followers.. pretty huge isn't it?
Google already purchased Blogger from the Twitter co-founders so there's a history there. In short, I think they will. They're going for world domination, didn't you know? :P You can read more about the goings on to date here. This is straight from the co-founder's mouth.

And I just read a quote from a Google president saying this via a Tweet:
"We're working to give you access to every damn Google service with a Google Apps account -- yep every damn one of them. Um, maybe not Lively," he wrote in a Twitter post on Tuesday, referring at the end to Lively, the 3-D virtual world service Google shuttered recently.
Sounds like a buyer to me! Article.
