Some critic this feature and says it's the limitation, but I think the uniqueness must be maintained to represent their self apart from the crowd.

I use Twitter to get traffic to my site. Right now though, I believe links a no follow which isn't good for SEO. But I do use Twitter a lot to post affiliate links as well as link back to my blog.

I think the only benefit for SEO from twitter would be it would make page indexing quicker when we put direct links in our tweets.
