Alright guys, I am back with another great Photoshop tutorial for you guys to learn from and use. This one is quite easy to learn and is very useful. I will be teaching you guys how to make a cloudy ball. You can play around with the colors and turn it into a fire ball but I do not have much experience with that so I won't show you how to do that. You can use this ball to create some very stunning logos for your sites and blogs.

Step 1
First of all, open a new document of dimension: 640 by 480. You can choose any dimension later on but for right now we will stick with this one. Then set your foreground color to bright red and set your background color to black. Choose these colors right now...you can play around with other colors to get better effects later on.

Step 2
Once you have done that, select the gradient tool and choose the gradient of color red and black from the top bar. Also, choose the radial gradient. When that's done, go to the middle of the page and draw a vertical line to the end of the page using the gradient tool. You should end with something like this:



Step 3
Now we have the ball but we need to make it a little cloudy and the best way to do is through CLOUDS technique. Create a new layer and press "D" to set the foreground and background color to default. Then go to FILTER > RENDER > CLOUDS. Alright, now change the blending mode of the new layer to "overlay" and your ball should get the cloudy look. If you prefer some other blending mode then go ahead but I prefer the Overlay. To get a powerful affect, you might want to duplicate the cloud layer (press CTRL J). The final should look something like this.



You can make the same ball with a different background and create cool logos. I hope you like my tutorial. If you didn't understand anything then let me know and I will explain it to you. Remember, try to follow the tutorial exactly as I have written to get the best results. Once you have learned the technique then you can make color changes and add your own touch.
