The more people you have on your list the more money YOU will make.
"The money is in the list". Oh man how many times have you heard that? But the truth is it works today and will continue to work well into the future.
Even big time businesses have ways of getting your contact information. When you purchase automotive products, clothing, computers, software, and landscaping and or cleaning services. The owners of these businesses will do their best to get your "Contact Details".
Once they have your phone number, address, and or email address they can now converse or send you more information regarding their services or products in the hopes of getting repeat sales.
If you are thinking about starting an online business or already have a website or blog it is essential that you find a way of getting your visitors to subscribe to your own good content subscriber list.
You will need to start a newsletter or ezine. It really is downright simple to start one. All you need is a script that will allow someone to enter their name and email information. This script should be added to your webpages or blog posts. You can also use a popup -script to help garner new subscribers.
Ok...Where can you get this script? Their are thousands of websites that will provide you with this type of script. By the way this script can also be called an autoresponder which is a computer program that automatically answers e-mail sent to it. There are many free resources that can help you build your list. You could try Googling "Free Autoresponders" and you will find a plethora of websites to help you.
Your webhosting company should also have free access to an autoresponder. This program is usually in the cpanel section of your hosting account. If they don't have one you should consider moving to one that does.
The most important factor in getting subscribers is the content on your website or blog. If you have content that is relevant to what they are looking for they will subscribe. Remember it is important to target only those who have an interest in what you have to offer. You do not want casual visitors who will subscribe but have no interest in your products or services.
Don't make the mistake of thinking "I need thousands of subscribers" before I can email them with other offers. Many small online businesses thrive with a subscriber base as low as 500.
