You are going to learn how to identify and work effectively with BLUEs. They make up 15% of the general population; however, you will find that about 75% of the people who look into Network Marketing are BLUEs. You may have heard them referred to as Sanguine or Expressive.

How to Identify BLUEs

* Think Snoopy of Peanuts. Snoopy is all about having a good time. Think of a Chimpanzee swinging from tree to tree. You probably can remember the class clown when you were in school; they were always getting into trouble for making people laugh.
* BLUEs are typically Entertainers, Sales People, and Public Speakers.
* Their motto is -- Let's have fun. If it is not fun, they will not do it.
* BLUEs talk loud and fast. They tend to change topics in mid conversation and they do not let facts interfere with a good story. They love talking and enjoy an audience.
* BLUEs know only 2 kinds of people: friends they've met and friends they haven't met yet.
* When you see a BLUE in person, their dress is colorful, stylish, and flamboyant. They are animated. You will see them hugging people and shaking hands. Their office is cluttered. You will see lots of photos of their family and pets.
* When you are talking to a BLUE on the phone, they will freely give you lots of personal information and in great detail. They are very open to sharing information about their family. In answering a question, they will volunteer much more than you asked.

Why You Want BLUEs on Your Team

* BLUEs are excellent promoters. They attract people like a magnet.
* They are fun to be around, entertaining, enthusiastic, creative, energetic, and very likeable.
* They tend to be visionaries, they can see the big picture.
* They can talk to anyone about anything, even about topics which they know very little about it.

How to Speak the Secret Language of BLUEs

I learned the Secret Language of BLUEs from Tom 'Big Al' Schreiter. He calls it Broken-BLUE.

* Talk about how much fun they will have, about the conventions or trips or cruises, and the car that they can win.
* Talk about being just one big fun family.
* Talk about all of the new people they will meet.
* Thank them for being such a great promoter and entertaining.
* Recognize them publicly in front of the group.

What to Avoid When Working With BLUEs

* BLUEs do not like anything that is not fun.
* They do not like boring details like the Policies/Procedures and the Compensation Plan.
* They do not like assignments which need to be done alone.

How Can You As Their Mentor Help BLUEs

* BLUEs tend to be scattered and unfocused. Give them only 1--2 things to do at a time. Help them with time management.
* They tend to not listen. Help them improve their listening skills.
* Encourage them to partner with a GREEN.

Your Action Items

Identify a BLUE on your team (or a prospect). Ask yourself:

* What do they enjoy doing?
* How can they contribute to our team?
* What are some Broken BLUE phrases to mention?
* How can I help them?
