One of the effective advertising sites that I had found to successfully market my products are the social discussion and networking sites.

They are good if you are looking for temporary exposures and not much recommended if you are looking for a long term exposure and marketing.

do you mean by "social discussion" is like a forum just such this forum? Agree with santan, if you post relevant topic you'll get good result, but if not you'll be suspected as spammer

YEah Social networking websites are good to promote as well as forums but there are many forums which are not do follow so those forums are useless

The best way to work the web 2.0 social site is to read the members blogs, if they are interesting and written well. Then post a comment, and/or a link to another related article you may have recently read that is pertinent.

You can even write your own article if it applies.

Yeah Social Networking in appropriate sites it's really helpful to increase Web Traffic.

I particularly like Twitter. It is easy to use, and if done properly (i.e. you are contributing valuable info and don't spam anyone) can help you build a substantial following in a short amount of time. Which social networking site have you found to be most useful?
