Can anyone suggest me some tips to generate sitemap for a site similar to a social networking site.

if you're using wordpress, google xml sitemap is a good one tht you can update daily just by rerunning it.

I just want to know how to create a sitemap for a social networking site, where the sitemap has to be updated dynamically when the content is being added to the site. But the link you have suggested is to create a static sitemap.

It depends on what type of SOCIAL network are you using... the answer above regarding the use of Wordpress is what you're searching for, the same with Drupal, Joomla or other CMSs.

If you have a dynamic CMS with no sitemap generator function, you should try to embed that (it depends if you're using PHP/ASP etc.). I'm sure that there are many more good examples, but here's a link to start on.
