The colours are good but get a Web 2.0 look

All that you have to do!! Give a emboss!! Don't use a square Nav bar try a rounded corner it will look even better. But the photo stock and colour are great nice choice!!

Yeah, I quite feel the same..
It's just that the first one is ment to be layout for some of my MFA sites.. Thats why such a "logically placed" square element - more easier to place ads..

Not bad, I like the second one better even though I always miss that people doesn't create a footer, with a footer most of the designs look much better, at least for me, because now it looks as if someone cut the footer with scissors :P I would like to see the HTML version of those designs

The first one is quite nice actually. Nothing wrong with a squarish corner in my own opinion. It's just that I can't read the green text against that green background.

The second one is also quite good. Very nice image with the candles.

You're right about the colours. I gotta lighten 'em a bit so those who are using not calibrated screen monitors could see that text also.

For me I give 8/10 to second one which liked most. Colors are good but i think if u lighten them, it would be easy on eyes. So people like more bright colors rather than dark ones. Also to read and find things on light colored templates is easy. I wrote what i found.

I think they are quite nice. but you have to change the colour of your text they seem to blend with the background. second one is OK.

^_^ Nice job! your lay-outs looks pretty cool and quite attractive. I liked the colors of the lay-out. In the upper the big box square that is pretty nice to look at and its really emphasize to the visitors to have the image on the site and its shows what that site about.Keep it up bro!
