Your layout is so good, it looks like a premade template!!! I do feel like I have seen something very similar to this before, not sure though. I think you should use that one with the trees, it's your own work of art and is very eye catching.

not bad, i think both of them are good, but first one is better than second one, i like colours of first layout, just add some 3d effects on it and it will be cool, i dont like colours of second layout thats why i like first layout,

Great design! Nice darkish brown colour scheme. All I would say was to brighten up the title a bit more so it stands out, add a sub-title of some sort in the main text area, maybe make it look a bit more rounded and it would be web 2.awesome!
