SEO for Joomla
A lot of people (even here on this forum) use Joomla for CMS, however the most irritating part is that it indexes pages as
http://website.com/index.php?option=com_content&id=9&Itemid=9
Now Google reads the address quite literally and interprets the site address as words ondex, com content ItemID which are absolutely useless from the point of the content of your side. you may have a site about say games and have created a catagory for them in the CMS. But the Search engine sees nothing in your address suggesting a game and ranks the page way down!
So what do you do? :P Dunno but I will tell you what I did:
I came across a Joomla plugin (component for purists) called OpenSef
Now what this does is create site addresses based on catagories and content titles for your site. So you will have something like
http://website.com/games/quake-3.html
as your webpage. For EVERY visitor, a mapping is done by it from your real to your virtual but search engine friendly addresses.
Pretty neat huh?

I am well aware of the frustration that webmasters experiencing when trying to generate traffic. I mean you can build a pretty site sure, but you really need to generate A LOT of traffic if you want to make the big bucks. Even more important is that you have QUALIFIED TRAFFIC ie traffic from people who have previously demonstrated an interest in your product.
There is a whole industry of "professionals" who will claim to get you top ranking in google, and also claim that this will make you wealthy. Honestly, they may be the only ones profiting from such promises.
I will share with you two other ways which work
1) Viral Marketing - (please note this has nothing to do with viruses). It refers to having a product which can be copied and swapped through the internet. If it promotes your site, your marketing campaigns grows and replicates like a "virus". It may be worth investing in an ebook or software application which promotes your product.
2) Legal Bulk Emailing - But NEVER SPAM. Spam is STUPID because it annoys the receiver and annoyed people dont make for good customers. Spam is also illegal, so spammers are not viable in the long term. But what about people who have indicated an interest in receiving messages about your product area. What if you could reach 30 million internet users like this? What if only a tiny percentage went on to buy something in that month, say 2%. Thats 60, 000 purchases for the month. Even if you only made $2.00 per sale. Thats $120 000 revenue for the month. Now thats the type of revenue that makes being a webmaster worthwile.
Thats my 2 cents, about what I think works. Which ever way you go, all the best
and hang in there

SEO Considerations before submitting your site
:cool2: Before submitting your webpages you must check all the link pages thoroughly one by one. Do not forget that they should be judged not only by you and your visitors but by number of professional Web site reviewers once you submit them to Web Directories. Check them online after you check them as your local files on your computer. Spend time browsing and clicking on every link on every page. Double check if all the images are loading and how long it takes to load the pages. Use different browsers to see how compatible they are with old and new versions.
Tell your friends to browse your site and give you their feedback how easy it is to navigate, how easy they understand it's content, how easy it is to find a product or how easy to order and the overall performance of your site.
You should check your pages on different computer monitor resolutions. They must look good at 480X640 as much as with 600X800 resolution and even in 1024X768 resolution. Select different font sizes on your browser and make sure your page looks good with any of them. You may add a line mentioned best viewed in 1024X768 resolution.

So I am looking for a web designer that I can refer them too, I am looking for one person for this. I am also looking for a web designer who can send me their web design customers as hosting clients. I will pay 30 dollars per client that you send me; I am looking for as many people as possible for this position.
