However can anyone edit this online encyclopedia or are there any requirements?

so any useless guy can go up and edit something? What about famous pages? Do they have higher security?

Yes, anyone can edit the pages, but like what alvin said, there are a lot of patrols monitoring them. However on some "famous" pages, you have to meet some requirements before editing.
