hmmm...what else?? of course you can do blog submission. Indicate your blog on your signature when you do forum postings

Blog Submission is good and submitting url blog in Social Bookmarking sites helps a lot

You can also synchronize your blog updates to microblogging sites so whenever you have updates, it'll automatically be posted on your microblog.

This will be effective if your microblog account, like twitter, has numerous followers.

it sounds good when it automatically post a micro blog. i'm doing it manually and i'm using wordpress. what wordpress plugin works for it to be automatic?

Try twittterfeed. It allows you to send blog updates to twitter. There is a delay of a few hours but otherwise works well
