In simple Words Search Engine Optimization means developing ,designing or making a site in such a way that it comes first or at least on first page. SEO is done on the basis of some key word.For e.g if your site is about fans then your key word can be "fan" or may be "cool fan" or may be"cheap fan".So that when some one type this key word in search box your site comes at first page.With increasing market the SEO is becoming more and more important to the webmasters.

In my opinion in Search Engine Optimization, optimizing your webpage using SEO tools to optimize your website. Adwords to choose a probablity keyword to gain a new traffic, Density and Prominence to avoid keyword stuffing and priority the keyword that related to your website. Another Search Engine Optimization technique is Link Building like Forum Posting, Social Bookmarking, Article Submissions, Directory Submissions, Yahoo Question and Answer or Yedda Answer, Online Group Posting, Blog Commenting and Making you Blogsite.

In my opinion seo is the way of optimizing your site to help search engine robots crawl your site so it would be included in the search result if ever your site is well optimized and related to the search phrase a user search. There are lot of ways you have to do in order the search engine robot crawl your site. you need to optimize your site also called on page optimization and link building - off page optimization. however, if you want sales, conversion, leads, sign ups I suggest you try PPC.

According to me SEO is one of the most effective things you can do online, you will have your site optimized so that search engines reward is basically the way you send the traffic. If only it was so easy. SEO is more than optimising to get on the first page, yes that is the target (or the major target) but there is more involved.

The bots crawling pages is not related directly to SEO, thats more to do with being SE friendly, not putting obstacles in the way of the bots. Having an SE friendly site is essential to on page SEO activity. Link building is an integral part of off page SEO activity and not anything separate. PPC (Pay Per click) is not part of SEO per say, there is another term SEM (Search Engine Marketing) which can be said to include SEO and PPC. PPC is not part of SEO as it is not optimisation, it is simply put as the purchase of clicks through keyword links.
