What is the traffic volume of the site that gets most of its traffic from an image search?

    Cool Image Tags, use em.

I had a lot of traffic coming one time because I alt tagged an image "corvette" and actually began ranking for that single keyword in the image search results. I don't know how great the traffic was but more traffic is better than no traffic.

Alt tag on omages is very good for SEO but must be used with caution
It's true that the words that you include in your alt tags go towards your total keyword count. But I would make sure that the words are relevant to the images. Also do not use the same alt tag on all the images on a page or it could come across as keyword stuffing

definitely... Web Crawlers cant read images ,and the only way for web spiders can crawl those images is via 'ALT' tags...

A descriptive alt tag is vital if you want your images to be found by Google Image Search and Bing Image Search.
