Thread: Page Rank Drop

    Page Rank Drop

Has anybody here had their PR go to zero? My site went from a PR2 to a PR0 about a month ago. Have no reason why this happened. I've only heard of this happening to one other person so far. They don't have a clue why either. Haven't really done anything out of the norm.

My rankings in the search engines stayed the same.

Yes it can happen, and have experienced this. If I can just correct you, it is not you site that has PR it is a page that has PR.

PR can drop as Google alters its algorithm, includes links and excludes others.

Sorry I should have been more technical and said my homepage dropped PR. Most people know it's not their site but homepage that has PR. I also know PR stands for Page Rank and not Site Rank.

This happened to me about a year ago. I had a PR 4 site that eventually dropped to 0. Google did some rethinking a while back and reassessed page ranks. I'm back up to PR 4 again, but it took a long time. Make sure you do your marketing gradually.

Yeah I lost PR too, but remember to keep your rank where it is you must be active with your website. If you leave your website for 2 weeks, you will definitely drop in rank.

I think PR changes from time to time. My PR just changed to zero from one.

I think it depends on the constant update of the content and the member count of the site which would really needs more traffic to stay on the constant PR.

Pr will drop if you're not consistent to develop your site by searching for link and link (well, PR is all about link :P)....
