Tool to check your links elsewhere are live?

Does anyone know if there's something you can use to check links are still live without having to physically go to each site and see? I'm thinking here about if you do a link exchange for example. How can you easily keep tabs on it to be sure they don't just take yours down? There must be a way apart from manually doing it.

backlinkwatch is the best tool to get information about live links.

this tool shows only 1000 back links. if your site has more than 1000 link back, still you can't see in this tool.

well just type link:www.yoursite.com on google search bar u will get the result or u can also see it on alexa

I have seen another tool on search engine here is the lin kwww.backlinkwatch.com a wonderfull tool update your data daily

Yes there is a tool, I have been using it for some time now, its called "link verify". This runs locally on your computer.

I have also seen something from one of last month's ompetition winners, I haven't tried this but may give it a go, its at http://www.vebtools.com/.

Yeah but for reliable result for backlinks and other information you have to join google webmaster tools

Google webmaster tools does not provide all the backlinks, I really wish it did. It does however provide more than using the link: arguement in the Google search. If just looking for the backlinks better to look at Yahoo site explorer,this returns more tyhan Google.

but it show only result of yahoo and now a days 75% open google.com for search

Yahoo siteexplorer + backlinkwatch would help you more. In backlinkwatch, you would see what anchor text, follow or not.
