Agreed. Email marketing is more of an SEM thing not SEO. SEO is basically a specification of tasks/activities that contributes directly to the rankings on search engine results pages. SEM otherwise is more concentrated on tasks/activities to directly/indirectly(viral) achieve traffic.

hmmm.. Mind giving us a hint on what products you effectively have promoted through email marketing? And how do you go about having a direct payment link in the email? I guess that'll just scare prospects away as the web tend to be more unsecured that secured.

Email marketing is not to believe as possible as the site promotion nowadays...because it can be ignored easily by the receivers...keeps sharing.
