So do the keywords which are competitive words bring your website in top position of SERP?

The waiting periods of time after launching some new SEO projects or campaigns are determined or calculated based on how aggressive or competitive the targeted niches are as well as the materials used by domains admins, how knowledgeable or experienced they are and also how old their websites are on the net.

It seems that the more competitive niches selected, and the fewer number of terms chosen, liek for example when you target one word terms like Cars, the longer waiting times. No wonder experts are recommending people to use long tail keywords to help speeding up the process of gaining ranks in a faster way.

Yes, my work have brought me with 8 phrases on Page 1 and other 40 phrases on pages 2-4. But if I stop for a couple of weeks optimizing, I can see a tiny winny drop on my serps, which is normal as my neigbours are working very hard on their keywords too.

Easy words, minimum 5 yrs experience w/SEO = 60 days or less. Tough words same experience - up to a year depending on the niche.

It would depend on how competitive the chosen keywords are. The higher the competition is, the longer time it takes to get a good search engine position.

You should run your campaign for at least six months to get effective result. One year is the best.

Can you really put a timescale on it? SEO effects are constantly changing, maybe a few months to get started, then it's continual from that point on to keep it up.
