Link Building software usually use black hat method or spamming method. Because they automatically not manual.
And if your site knew by Search engine like Google. Your site will get penalize.

I agree with you maybe that software is spam bot to spamming to the other website. It is better build a quality backlinks manually to improve the website rankings and get more traffic.
