I haven't seen much of vBulletin4 but would say if it is stable and there are no bugs and you can do at least what you can do with the current site then there is no reason to not upgrade.

I would recommend checking out SMF2.0. It is RC at the moment but is VERY good, and the best thing is it is free.

I personally like the new cms vb4 is using along with the many other new features it has all packed into it.

SMF 2.0 is nice but updates and new stuff for it likes hack and plugins don't come aroud very often hence the reaon we rely on Vbulletin.

Adding VB4 to Promojunkie will contribute many new features for the community however if we do decide to upgrade to VB4 the Award system will be removed from PromoJunkie Forum as it will no longer be compatible.

Personally, I don't like the look and feel of vB4 but it would be a nice upgrade as far as features go.

IMO we need to wait for some time, chances of installed mod would not work with vb-4, must check it before updating it.

WOW.... what a long night. All in all it went pretty successful however we realised that there were a couple kinks to work out such as our resources directory among a couple other mods that would no longer work so we have decided to wait and make sure thy will be amened. In the meantime I think we will go about merging a couple of our other forums into PromoJunkie Forum prior to the vb4 upgrade.
