The short answer is that the current administration seems to be dragging the US in that direction just as fast and hard as it can! Obama has admitted to socialist leanings since his college days. And there are several bills on the floor currently in the House and Senate alike designed to do just precisely that. Our only hope, it appears to avoid that happening is to find ways to stall it until after the November elections this year, and the people elected can take office, probably next January. They certainly aren't listening to the people about it, at any level!

At the time I posted my last message in this thread, I didn't have information I've come into possession of since, and I now realize the situation is far more grave and extensive than I'd imagined earlier. It is, in fact, global, and you deserve to be aware of what's being done and by whom, since it affects all your lives as much as all Americans' lives.
As stated previously, we are being relentlessly dragged ever closer to a socialist, or perhaps more accurately fascist, state by our current government, very much against the will of the majority of the people in the US, as some of you have surmised. But it's not being orchestrated by our government alone. The situation in the EU currently is also part of what's truly going on. For some this will sound like the ravings of a lunatic conspiracy theorist. For your own sakes and your families' sakes I truly hope you'll not only read this, but follow up what I give you here to check out for yourselves. I don't ask you to simply take my word for this.
There is a group of very wealthy and powerful people who call themselves the Club of Rome, or the Bilderbergers, a group first formed in 1954, by a powerful financier in the NYC area by the name of Morganthau. This group now includes ALL the surviving ex-Presidents of the US, members of European royalty and heads of state, virtually all the major world bankers and financiers, CEOs of multinational corporations like Google, BP, the largest producer and distributor of foods in the world, several members of our current government, middle eastern royalty, etc. I've only seen a partial list of the membership. The objective of this group is "one world order" meaning a global government, with them as the masters and the rest of whomever they deem worthy to survive as their serfs, essentially. Naturally, the greatest obstacle to this was the well educated populace of the US as we were in the '40s, '50s, and '60s, so among other things they have been systematically dismantling our educational system, so that today's kids really have NO understanding of the true history, of even the past century, let alone of the precious documents on which our nation was founded, or any of the important lessons from the past! Most are functionally illiterate. It's also happened in western Europe. Even in the UK, birth place of the English language,the young people can't read, can't construct a sentence properly, and know nothing of history either. But educated people don't make very good "sheep" to be led about. Hitler had that problem, and the Bilderbergers did learn that lesson from his experience, apparently. They've also been slowly encroaching on the freedoms guaranteed under our Constitution, subtly, until this last year or so, for the most part, or using manufactured "crises" as the excuse. And for the most part they have gotten away with it, because not enough of us saw clearly what was truly happening. I'd felt for quite a long time someone had to be orchestrating things, someone above and beyond our government, but I couldn't get a handle on who or where. I did know of one or 2 shadow groups but neither seemed quite large or powerful enough to be doing all that I was seeing being done. In December, on another forum where I post, someone ran a thread about the Codex Alimentarius. Not many took much notice of that thread, in the forum. But when I googled Codex Alimentarius and put that together with the so-called health care reform which our Congress eventually did ram through despite protests from a majority of US citizens, and which our Congress are still trying to convince us is for our good, going to save money and reduce the national deficit, while even the Congressional Budget Office has released reports to the contrary, the urgency of shoving that bill through began to make sense. The Codex went into effect globally, under the auspices of the WHO branch of the UN, the first of this year. Google it for yourselves. I'm sorry I don't have a direct link to give you, but just enter the 2 words and search; that was how I found it. For the rest of what I'm saying I do have links for you to follow to the information. The Bilderbergers have begun allowing the knowledge to leak now because they're poised for the ultimate take-over, all they need is the right "crisis", and they'll engineer that as well.

These are the enemies of all humanity. It's their intention to begin depopulation as soon as they take over the world, and are already deciding who they deem worthy to live and who isn't. If this isn't what you want for your future get the word out to your people; it may be possible to stop them if enough become both aware enough and determined enough in time. Remember this, it wasn't the majority of Americans who won our Revolution; it was a very determined minority, and a very determined minority who don't wish to live in slavery to the rich few again, can win this also revolution as well. As happened after the attack on Pearl Harbor, the "sleeping giant" of the American population is awakening, and ready to fight this. If others around the world willingly join us, we can throw off this yoke of tyranny that threatens us all. It will NOT be an easy thing, that I can about promise you. But unless you prefer to hope you'll be one chosen to survive the depopulation, and would rather live in virtual enslavement. then do nothing about this message. If you want to live and have choices about your life and your future, you can't afford to ignore this message.
