Unemployment is no just an Indian problem, its global. As for solutions, well if you come up withone and I'm sure it could make your fortune. Its very much a question of economics and how are political leaders act.

I'd have to say it's a bane for the nation and people. Unemployment, grinding poverty, these are never good things, and the unrest seen in India is a chronic problem. One thing that might help some is if they'd practice zero population growth at least for a while, or the one child per family deal like China has at least. It might also help if the leadership was better able to address the social issues causing so much of the unrest. But slowing down the population growth almost has to be a first step to any of it. And not just in India. There are limits to how many people this planet can effectively support at a sustained level, and some think we exceeded that limit about 3 billion or so people ago. I do know there have been many experiments where you put too many rats in the same cage and they will kill each other off, to find a comfortable and sustainable number for the space... people aren't really all that different.

Population is boon if it is well handled and used. China is great example of it. They are using men power well and we can see the development in recent time. The survey said, India has most numbers of youth. If it is utilized well, then India can grow like a rocket. For that they need good and non-corrupted politicians.

If you can find some of those, more power to you. But there is also the problem of feeding them adequately, and that's one of several that China is struggling with, albeit not always too openly for the rest of us to be aware of.
