religions is just a word describing a traditional flows of people, who wanted to believe their getting closer to the Highest God. But the fact of the matter is, it deprive us from using our gift of freewill.

Yes, I believe it does; I've yet to meet a practitioner of any of the organized religions who doesn't filter EVERY thought and belief through what his/her religion tells him is the "right" way to think about things, regardless of which religion he/she practices, and getting them to do so is next to impossible; like trying to get an addict to recognize his/her addiction and then break it.

I guess academically a religion is a codified system of beliefs concerning the etherial existance of creation.

Not unless I get stupid and take it up again, after wasting far too many decades of my life on its study! I realized the Bible, like every other "holy" book is written by men, for men, and virtually denies women as functional human beings worthy of consideration, among other flaws and errors, not the least of which is the absurd notion that whichever religion is being presented is the "ONLY POSSIBLE" way to go!

I guess you didn't quite understand the point I was making; I don't either; the closest thing to my beliefs would be Deism; I do believe that there is an intelligence that created the universe, set it's laws for how it runs, and set it all in motion. I believe that because to believe it all came about because of an accidental explosion, to me seems insane; I've seen what comes out of explosions and there's NEVER order to that, as there is to the universe. But I don't believe ANY of the systems of religion has the answers or is even correct in its beliefs. Not Christians, not Jews, not Hindus, not Buddhists, not Muslims, and not any of the myriad little offshoots from all these, or any of the other human-devised systems of religion. In fact, I believe we'd do human kind a great favor by abolishing all the organized systems of religion, with all their crazy side effects like "holy" wars. There's NOTHING holy about war at all. But every religious group has gone to war over just that: religion, with the possible exception of Buddhists. I think instead, what each individual believes should be between him and his creator, and NO ONE else involved! I believe each should be free to worship in his own way and time, and none should try to persuade him to believe or worship in any way other than what seems right to the individual doing the worshiping.
