Great info. I personally prefer a width of 600 px, they fit forums better in the case of fixed width templates. Another thing to consider is background and font color/size/style. The Tut should be easy to read.

And for the background,I habitually put a black one,no effect,so it's easier to read and everyone can see great,with a white font..

Wow...You can use the Settings shine. Font....I think
