out of digital or film which do you prefer and why?

personally I think digital is the way to go, especially now that pretty much everyone has a computer to upload to. I like film because you can create many nice effects in a darkroom, but overall I would go with digital because it is a lot easier to use.

im a newb at digital photography but i actually prefer digital because you can mess with settings and bring out nice effects! although film has its pros as well, sometimes atleast to me when you print film it looks more natural...

Idk. Digital's easy and more customizable but film you get the satisfaction of taking that perfect shot

black and white film for me.

i like digital because there so much you can do with it when you bring it into photoshop and the image quility look outstanding, but theres some old flim camera's that i just love because what they can do, most fav flim is the polaroid :P

Until the quality of mainstream digital cameras is equal to film, then film will always reign supreme. Yeah, with digital you can do editing, but if you have a negative scanner then you can do exactly the same with film (if you actually need to). Because of the flexibility of film it is still the #1 format within the professional trade - Fashion photographers still use film both for sample shoots and full magazine shoots because they have so much more control over what their doing. Art photographers will barely even touch a digital camera because of the current flaws of them. The only professional photographers that primarily use digital cameras are journalists and paparazzi, and that's only because they need instant access to their images to send off to their boss.

Film is by far, by far, by far my choice over digital.

Digital ftw! With film if you touch it once on the strip, it's ruined.
