What is the best brand of camera for DSLR?

I heard that Canon is the best but I think Nikon is great also. What do you think? What is the best brand for you?

Nikon I think is better. the only thing that's not great about Nikon is the price of their lenses.
Canon's lenses are way inexpensive than those from Nikon.

really? well i'm not an expert regarding DSLR's but I really thought Canon is the most expensive. I have seen prices of their DSLR which is as high as 120,000 pesos.

It depends on what you want to spend. In the budget range I would recommend Sony, Pentax or Nikon, e.g. Sony A33 or A 500, Pentax K-r or K-x, Nikon D 3100.

I think you can't go wrong with either a nikon or a canon.
I ended up choosing a nikon and it's worked out great.

No doubt Canon is name of brand in photography and one top brand Camera.

Canon and Nikon, both are top brands, but in terms of lens and quality, canon has a high rating and most of the people use canon dslr.

Image quality is a little more punchy from the Nikon DSLR, and its Active D-Lighting system is excellent for reigning in highlights while also boosting detail in dark shadows, working a little more effectively than the Auto Lighting Optimizer on the Canon DSLR.
