Contents of a site

there’s this site that has been over a year, which I was running. Invariably, I'm not used to update the content. I was told that it is very important. How many times have to be updated? Can anyone tell me why should they upgrade first? Is it useful in some way? Can anyone tell me something? To update your site, what are the advantages and disadvantages? Do you think there are some drawbacks here? Can anyone help me with this?

Surfers who visit a website with outdated content tend to bounce quickly, which does not nothing for your online advertising efforts. Remember, your website is your first impression to a visitor and old, outdated, irrelevant content or references screams "abandoned site". There simply is no value there.

At a minimum, update your site content monthly. Add a new article or video post and be consistent. Visitors are more likely to stay on your site, and click around, if you offer them a reason to with good content.

You must update your website with original content and unique content. How often ? Well i'd say it depends on the kinf of website you own, if its a blog at least one time per week. Other sites it depends.

If you don't have visitor for your site then what is the advantage and purpose of your site. So you must be think about the content of your site. For attracting better traffic in your site and to get good ranking you need to update your site regularly. It's not like that, you have to update thrice in year or something like that. The idea is, to pace with the current world, you have to update regularly. Or very soon you may find your site is not getting enough visitors because they are not interested to see those old content.
