(1) You would have to know who the owner is. It's too easy nowadays for some shmuck to set-up a system that only benefits that person.
(2) The compensation plan would have to be sound. I'm not looking for another 'be a billionaire' by tomorrow opportunity. If the opportunity consistently pays, then I am in. If it also caters to the Alertpay payment processor, then that would be even better.
(3) The program (or business) should have some type of support system in place; and if it is not there, then it should be with sponsors that prospect new members.

I noticed that you are quite prominent in this forum and so I wanted to come to you to ask a question. I hope that the question does not come off as redundant, so here goes. I joined this forum in search of any legitimate and credible income opportunities that I could promote. Now if that obviously means joining under, then I do not have a problem with that. The problem is that I am still working on my internet marketing skills, so I would need a bit of assistance in that area.
