Hey djk, before you roll your eyes at someone, you might want to get your facts straight LOL. That's not the copyright symbol. That symbol @ means "at".

This is the copyright symbol : ?

And you won't find it on the keyboard either because it's a special character. Pick up any DVD or CD you have close at hand and tell me I'm wrong.

Last I looked, Google was on the internet. You would need to check each image individually to see what its licence is.

Unless you know the creator of an image, it's almost impossible to determine for sure if an image is still copyright. However, since the creator of an images enjoys copyright automatically when an image is created, you should go under the assumption an image is created.

There is currently new legislation being pushed by some called the orphaned works that is in part about addressing this problem.

If you see an image one someone's site you wish to use, contact that person. If they are the copyright holder, they can give you permission (usage rights) to use that image. Otherwise, take your own images or purchase usage rights from a stock photo company..................

You cannot use any image from the internet whether it is watermarketd or not watermarked. But you can use royalty free images from the sites if they offers for free.
