    Actually you don;t upload joomla but install it.You need first to upload the files(the tzr.gz or .zip you download) and then enter your site.You 'll se a welcome screen to install Joomla.You will put all the required info etc and when you finish the setup,joomla will be running at your webhost!Please remember you need to have a SQL database ready beforehand, because you'll need it on your installation process.
    If you have already a database at your pc, just export it , and then import it at your webhost through phpmyadmin
    Hope i helped a bit!

    @upineter
    Are you saying that you have Joomla installed and running on a local (127.0.0.1) server (your pc)?
    If yes, simply install it on your new webhost, and then take a backup of the database from your pc, and restore it in your webhost's control panel via the phpMyAdmin.

    It might sound difficult, but is pretty easy to do in practice, so try it to get to know it better

    if you dont have a server. You can download it here. http://jsas.joomlasolutions.com/. then just follow the instructions. after you install the server. You can now upload the files w: drive where the templates are located. then you also install phpmyadmin for your database.

    well next time, ask your question properly. After reading the whole post i still don't know you're asking how to run joomla on localhost(your own PC), or how to upload joomla files to both servers. BUT, your question is how to upload your whole database yo your server.

    1. Go to phpmyadmin lin xampp. Look for export.
    2. Go to your sites phpmyadmin and look for import.
    Its that easy.

    I reckon he means he wants to know how to upload Joomla from his PC to an online server and then install it.

    I believe all the required information are located in the official documentation that came with the package. Of course, your web server must also support PHP and MySQL.
