Edit cookie details using JS

Does anyone knows how to edit the details of a cookie using javascript ?
for example, if i create a cookie when somone visits my website(cookie contains his name and date of visit). When the same person visits my site again, I want to edit the date and time of his visit, and the number of times he visited my site before this visit.

Please tell me a way of doing this..
