Good idea?

Hey,
Im designing this website and i just wanted to see if you guys think its good or not.

Well the way it makes money is in the following way. The website is an internet "smarts" competition where there is a competition held everyday where members (who pay 5 dollars per month) are quized with some questions that take about 5 - 10 mintues in total. And the person who get the most questions right in the time allowed, will get 10 dollars. The other aspect is, the referal system, which is quite basic where if u refer somebody to the website and he joins you will get a dollar.

It doesn't seem bad in context, but make sure you draft up, or have a lawyer draft up a solid Terms of Service. I could see someone getting mad and attempting to sue you over a game they think you rigged. Also, you may want to make sure this isnt classified as gambling.

Your taking money, making a profit on wether or not people do well on the quiz. They are gambling on wether or not they place well on a set of questions that you give them. Thats gambling, especially because the house is making money. Also, you don't need to necessairally go through a lawyer, but having one look over your TOS could save you some seriously costly legal fees in the long run.

you think i can just make the referal system with out the quiz, cause then all the people that enter must be at a legal age to gamble and i have to buy a gamble permit right?

Yeah, you also must make sure the state your in allows gambling. Its a grey area under US law, and I suggest that you make sure you proceede with great care and caution, or you may find the feds busting down your door at 3am. And thats no fun, at least not for you

who is it fun for then lol? but i decided to make a flash game site like miniclip.com and make money advertising others. this website is great to help me accomplish that.

But where i come from gamblin is legal at 18, but i just dont want the hastle

Thats most likely alot better idea. And as for who its funny for... It's funny for me, when I get to say "I told ya so" and for the FBI agents who are doing the door smashing. :P I'm just kidding though. Good luck with your game site ^_^
