You need three things in a page or document to have it be copyrighted under US law, without having to file:
1. The symbol, abbreviation or word for ?.
2. Year first published. This never has to change really, you see people updating to cover any combination of content that may appear as a result of whatever the hell.
3. The owner of the work.
So if this is my article, it would be "? 2010 Str82u" in a conspicuous place, like the footer. U.S. Copyright Office - What Does Copyright Protect? (FAQ) and other items on this page/website.

Your content is your property. You can place copyright notice on the site or even copyscape widget to protect yourself. If you feel more insecure you should check wp-protect plugin to avoid copying your site by someone.
