Can you still make money with an Ebay business?

which I loved doing. However, even though my sales were decent (around $5,000/month in home electronics), my actual profits were extremely thin or non-existent because of the fierce competition (this was about 2 years ago).
I'm starting law school next summer, and I want to set up a viable business that will help me avoid a job in my first year of classes. Is it still possible to make legitimate, consistent profits with an Ebay business, or has competition pretty much done away with that?

I didn't tried yet with ebay. All my online income is from adsense alone.

ebay is an excellent source to make a income online. There are many fields that are still available. The best opportunity is to find your niche and shine on that field. Developing a specific niche will result in a shot of online income

That would be a good move. If you are not successful with your current method then try other one.

ebay has help me sometimes, i buy computer parts and accessories in there and sell it in the neighborhood. you just have to be very selective and buy to those who are power sellers. the good thing is you can bid at atleast minute before the bidding ends and the haggling of course

ebay's commission rate is the difference between what you buy an item for and what you sell it for on ebay. That is your profit.
