    Default Text ads vs Banner Ads?

    Well I see that most of the text ads will convert better almost 75-80% of the time with the same impressions.

    As you know people are banner blind, you may have read that in the past, but it is 100% true.
    Take Google Adsense for instance. Do you think Google was insane?
    They knew exactly what they were doing with contextual advertising.
    Allowing users to create ads that blend into their content was genius. Some people were clicking those ads without even thinking about that fact that it was an ad.

    On the other hand, if you have those bouncing, flashing or talking(annoying lol) banners on your site, the user is automatically turned off by them and will go away. What's your thoughts on this matter?

    Searchers and surfers are smart nowadays. They recognized what's an ad (sponsored links) or not. I say, text ads is much better because all the websites contain contents and those contents with targeted keywords triggers text ads to appear on the page. And people on the net is also browsing for information and wants to read. While banner ads needs to be interesting and enticing to be clicked.

    You'll get a lot of debate about which type of ads are better. Text ads are certainly very useful, but placed correctly on a page a banner add can be very effective too, and if done correctly it should meet the WCAG guidelines too. Another area for debate is where to position the ads, this is really a trial and error method, in some positions you may find banner ads better, in other positions you may find it to be text ads.

    The bounce rate may increase if you will not research before you consider text advertising just like Google sponsored links. Of course a lot of research to do before dealing your keywords to PPC management companies.

    Well banner adds are better because you can get a backlink also through it with alt option

    In my opinion both have the equal weightage at their places, main thing for the ads depends on the placement as where are you placing your ad and that may be a banner ad or the text ad. Net surfers and user are very smart and you can't make them fool, they know very well that it is a ad and it is a matter to what they are searching.

    As you have heard that images would leave a remembering impression on your mind and there is a chance to get there again where you have seen that. It's good to place the alt tag on your banner so that your both the purposes can be solved, the keywords for the search engine and the image description for the visitors.

    You'll never know until you test both. Banner blindness is really only a huge problem when traffic is untargeted or the banner just sucks. If the traffic is targeted, the banner is placed well, and the banner isn't an annoying, jumpy thing then it's well worth testing.
