Default Marketing by holding a contest...

By holding a contest, you will get free advertising for your site. The loghic is like this :
    1. you invest some money to hold a contest
    2. require people to do "blog post about your blog" or "give text link" or something like that in way to make them participate

Because there is a lot of people love to hunt prize, they will do it, and do you know what i mean?
There is will a many blog post about your url included....
And i think it's free advertising :P (mostly is free, but some of them should be paid --> i mean, the winner of the prize, you should give them the prize of that contest)

I have seen on the most of the forums that there is only one winner inspite of lots of postings by many users. According to me contest should be held in such a way that

    1) It provides low but many winners in various categories
    2) Should look at the quality of post rather than spams in useless categories.
    3) Promptly result and category to earn money by doing selling and purchasing categories.

    Default Contests

I know that many of the extremely successful internet marketers do hold contests, and build up a huge list as a result. Follow the "leaders" until you're a leader, too.

Well, contests are all well and good as long as you put some thought into how you operate them and don't just throw them up. You have to think carefully about prizes - for example, you might offer a book you paid $15 for, then have to ship it halfway across the world at a cost of $30. Suddenly your prize has cost you triple what you bargained for.

I'd like to hear from anyone who's ran a contest and what their experience was of that, good or bad. Also what they learned/gained from it or would do differently next time. The more solid details we have based on experience, the more useful the thread. Thanks!

Please press the "Thanks" Button in posts you like, don't post to say "Thanks".
