I think nikon's looking for places to submit press releases to rather than finding someone to write it. Here's a list:

Here's some guidelines on how to write a press release correctly if you're new to it. The thing to remember is that you can send out plenty but at the end of the day, it's down to the individual editor whose desk it lands on to decide whether or not it's published. Make it interesting and appealing and if there's any way you can link it to current hot topics, so much the better.

You do need to format it properly as well if you don't want to be marked as an amateur. This article explains how to structure it. Ignore this at your peril because if you don't lay it out right, it gives an editor reason to throw it out without reading it and one more way to clear their in-tray faster.

Press releases are something we just cannot ignore as webmasters. Press releases may catapult your website to sky. Yes it should be prepared in a format. We cannot disclose to the person that we are amateurs. learn the basics before you write a press release

please for the benefit of your own site, make sure to use press releases sparingly but effectively. Some people just over use press releases, and you see them releasin one every day. Makes you wonder how they have time to get any other work done, lol

I've heard about people doing press releases for there websites. Is it a necessary process for every site? Is it something you do before you build your site or can you do it after you've been around for a while?

I have seen some people in popular forums selling press release service but haven't seen any person offering it for free though.

it's because being featured in press release will bring you a lot of traffic , so it's not free

Press release writing is a skill just like any other and is more specialized than simple article writing, that's why you pay for it. Writers need to eat too. See my post earlier in this thread if you want to give it a try though and it'll help you.
