have you tried it when someone hire you to seo their sites and too late to say no since the site youre about to promote is a rival?

This can happen and therefore I would inform exactly about the site again and promote it further. If I would have sucess, it would be definetly a site what is ok to promote for me. If not, I will stop promoting this site as I do normally with the site I like and what brings no success.

Perhaps this is the reason why site analysis should come first before anything else. =)

Well, it's strange you took the work without having looked at a site... I would always take a look at a 'patient' first, and only then agree to do the job (or say 'no').
