Hi all,




I would like to get people's thoughts on forum signatures. I have a new forum site and wondered about allowing people to post 1 link in their signature. Do you think this is a good idea? Will it get more people contributing, or do you think it can make your forum look messy?

I would like to hear from anyone who actually runs a forum and has experience in this area. What do you think?:read:

but i feel allowing only 1 link wud b wayyy too less
i guess try putting less restrictions as already u got sooo much competition out here on net...

I think most forum are allowing at least 2 links signature. Mostly they can allow to 2 lines may up to 5 links signature. If you only allow 1 signature to members, I don't think it will help much to get traffics. Many member even selling their signature space to others just to earn some income.

There would be exactly no problem on allowing 1 link.

This is quite strict and instead of looking your forum messy, it'd be more clean and less spammy.
