Alexa ranking, worthless, why would you want to increase it? Sounds like this a fraud method, make Alexa think you have more visitors (with the toolbar installed in the browser).

Your alexa rank entirely depends on the number of traffic you get.
So try getting more traffic to increase alexa rank.

To improve your alexa ranking, you have firstly installed the alexa toolbar in your browser, if you are using the firefox or firefox searchstatus extension. This is the first step.

Second you have to put up alexa rank widget on your site as each click would be counted as a visit if the toolbar is not used by the visitors.

Another things encourage others to use alexa toolbar that may be your friends, your fellow webmaster, site visitors etc.

Next get the reviews for your friends and rate your alexa website profile, I am not sure about it's impact but help in some ways.

Use alexa redirect on your website url

Post in Asian social networking websites or forums coz some webmaster suggets that east asian web users are the big fan of alexa toolbar.

Create an alexa category on your site to include any article or news about the alexa.

And follow the steps also told by alan and Decipher admin, I think you will get the desired results.

I wouldn't rely on it at all. Some people like to take that into factour when purchasing sites though, which I still don't get.

Alexa is utterly and completely useless. Plus it's awfully skewed towards tech/web design type websites. I have two sites, one has a rank of ~50k and another ~200k, yet the 200k gets 5x as many visitors daily!
