Default How to hide site from Alexa and other snoopers?

I want to 'hide' my site from Alexa and other tools that copy-artists may use to find my site and replicate it before it gets off the ground.

    Any boilerplate code for this?

It is not a bad idea to be in Alexa and not really worth the time investing in trying to remove it. Just dont sign up for the services if you dont want to use them, after all they are only estimated guesses by their bots.

I think robots.txt is right solution. But autor must made it right because bad robots.txt may stop indexing site by search-engine bots.

Alexa has been ignoring most sites for years. I suppose you could disallow the alexa bot if you know the specifics.

I wouldnt bother wasting time, alexa is a useless rank and will probably never index your site anyway.
